5. Buffavento castle. Located 1.6 km Eastwards of Kyrenia, it is the highest castle and offers spectacular views. It is a 6.8 km drive along a track, followed by a 45 minute walk up the mountain path. 6. Peace and Freedom Museum, Aslancak. The museum is located where the first Turkish troops landed in 1974. The museum is in two parts. The open air part consists of a display of vehicles and arms left by the Greek soldiers. Indoors there is a display of photographs of Military actions and the uniforms worn. The museum gives a real insight into the history of what happened years a go. 7. Karpaz Peninsula, Karpaz. This is one of the areas of Cyprus which remains virtually unchanged for hundreds of years and still has the essence of ancient Cyprus. 8. Famugusta City Walls. Years a go the Lusignan walls were fortified and towers changed from square to round to make the town more secure. It is said that Leonardo Da Vinci advised on the construction of the walls on his visit to the North of Cyprus in 1481. 9. Ancient City of Soli, Lefke. Soli was one of the ten ancient city Kingdoms of Cyprus and was built in the beginning of the sixth century BC. The visable remains of Soli today are the theatre, basilica (small curch) and the agora, which would of been a shopping centre in that time. 10. Highline Tandem Paragliding, Kyrenia. If you fancy something a bit more adventurous then this could be for you. After an easy take off with a few steps down a gentle slope, you will be able to see spectacular views of Northern Cyprus.
