If your child will return to an Urban Discovery Academy school next year, please sign in using your SchoolMint account and complete the intent to re-enroll form. The re-enrollment process has 2 steps. Upon signing in to your account, you will be presented with green "Returning" and orange "Not Returning” buttons. After clicking “Returning,” the button will change to "Re-Enroll." Click on the “Re-Enroll” button to open a new form in which you can verify your child's grade for next year, the school, and any other information (including YOUR contact information) that you would like to update. Once you have verified this form and click submit, you will be taken to another page to re-verify school and grade. If you chose "Not Returning," you will be asked to choose the reason and re-confirm the non-returning status. Please note that this works better

Sixth GradeLast week, 6th graders participated in a NueroScience Lab with UCSD graduate students. The graduate students led an interactive demonstration of comparative neuroanatomy with the brains of several different species, including human. This lab extended the students’ learning about their own nervous system and included a hands-on activity with sheep brains. Students were excited to learn about the research that the graduate students are working on and enjoyed seeing brains up close! Seventh GradeThe 7th grade students had over 12 Latin American and Caribbean Entrepreneurs visit them at UDA. These entrepreneurs are in the U.S. as part of the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative, which was started last year by President Obama. While at UDA, they shared with our students how they found their passion and identity, and also spoke about how they put who they are into their work in order to make their dreams come true.
