Hello

‘A very big hello to the wonderful JOY family and thank you for the beautifully warm welcome I have received from those I have met so far. I feel really honoured to be taking on this role and I must say I already feel at home.

My previous work has focused on creating social change, building and developing income streams with for-purpose organisations and, most importantly, leading, encouraging and supporting teams to fulfil their potential.

I understand after speaking with many of you, I am joining JOY at a time of transition with recent difficult decisions having been made to ensure our survival.

I do not shy away from the challenge we face, and I firmly believe that the JOY family is strong, committed and positive in their attitude to building an exciting future. I have been so pleasantly surprised to see the financial support and dedication from donors and members over JOY’s history – what an amazing asset to have.

Since arriving Monday, I have worked with the team focusing on building our income streams, our product offering to businesses, continuing our Sponsorship growth and exploring funding partnerships with large organisations. This is just the beginning – there are many opportunities.
I believe that together we can successfully progress the life of JOY – a most valuable asset, serving our wider community.’

Expect regular station updates from me, so until next time.
Best wishes from Ange Barry CEO
