Uniting Church WA Buildings in Perth and Peel

Dear Friends,

In accordance with the WA Government’s announcement yesterday, the Perth metropolitan area and Peel regions have returned to Level 1 Restrictions from 12 noon, Sunday 27 June for a minimum of three days.

Anyone attending a Uniting Church WA building in Perth and Peel are required to wear a mask:

  • indoors, except when eating and drinking
  • on public transport
  • in outdoor public areas where physical distancing isn’t possible.

Other familiar rules include:

  • public gatherings are restricted to a maximum of 150 people
  • 2 square metre rule applies.

In order to assist in minimising the spread of COVID-19, it’s imperative that every Uniting Church in the Perth and Peel regions comply.

Please note, the School of Ministry is continuing as planned with adherence to all WA Government COVID-19 requirements, including the wearing of masks and enforcement of the 2 square metre rule.

The Uniting Church Centre will be closed. Any meetings scheduled in the next three days which requires people who don’t work in the office to attend the Uniting Church Centre are to be held via Zoom or postponed.

Most Uniting Church WA staff will work from home. Some may continue to work in the Uniting Church Centre in consultation with their manager on a voluntary basis. Subject to Government advice, we intend to re-open again at 9am on Thursday, 1 July.

We encourage you to keep up-to-date with health advice from the WA Government website.

Kind regards
Rev Andrew P Syme
General Secretary Uniting Church WA
