In this Defence Week offering Katherine Ziesing breaks the news that Milskil will provide simulation training for the F-35 and the standard issue Browning 9mm sidearm will remain in service with the ADF until 2022 despite production ceasing later this year.

Nigel Pittaway has an intriguing story on Australian SME Adagold Aviation engaging in a joint venture to lease six Embraer KC-390 aircraft for a range of defence customers and while yesterday's Defence Senate Estimates couldn't quite match the sheer entertainment value of Senator Michaelia Cash's performance, we've nonetheless gathered a few choice tidbits for you to digest.

We're getting a great response to our Women in Defence Awards call for nominations but need many more to make this event a success - entries close April 13!
