The Great Outdoors
|
|
All this sunshine has us in the mood for a spot of al fresco dining. Thankfully, we are blessed with a number of terraces across Caprice Restaurants. In Mayfair, we have several – Scott’s, Sexy Fish,
Le Caprice and The Mount Street Deli. And if you meander down to Covent Garden, you'll find the J Sheekey Atlantic Bar
terrace, which offers a slice of tranquillity in the bustling West End. Open all day from noon, the terraces are ideal for lunch, a lazy afternoon drink and bite or a full blown dinner.

Set Sail for Summer |
|
Daphne's is taking to the high seas this summer. The glistening, famously azzurro Mediterraneo to be precise. In honour of regional country cooking, Daphne's
has been on a viaggio of discovery. From gastronomic giant, Emilia Romagna to truffle-rich, Le Marche, round the heel to Campania via Sicily, up the coast to Tuscany, and docking on the Italian Riviera. Each week, throughout the summer months, there will be a different regional dish that will feature on the A La Carte menu, along with an expertly paired local wine. To reserve a table, please call 020 7589 4257 or book online.

Terrace Tastings |
|
Throughout July & August, The Mount Street Deli
will be celebrating the summer season and showcasing some of its favourite suppliers with a series of afternoon tastings. Escape the office early and join us every Friday on the terrace from 3.30pm until 5pm. Guests will be invited to sample artisanal chocolates from Italian chocolatiers Amedei, a refreshingly different range of soft drinks with a subtle kick from Nix & Kix and healthy snacks from the champions of small-scale producers Anduna. A Day at the Races
|
|
With Glorious Goodwood just around the corner (1 to 5 August), join some of the British racing fraternity’s most amusing and authoritative voices as they present an evening of serious tips and frivolous facts about flat racing and what to wear to Glorious Goodwood, not to mention a little good-old-fashioned Daphne's Italian hospitality. Between the Champagne reception and each of the three courses of chef Michael Brown’s seasonal dinner on
Monday, 17 July, the panel will entertain diners with their overview of British racing; there will be tips on how to own a racehorse (we all want those…); how to read a race card; and a few pointers on the betting scene. The evening will kick off at 7pm with a little mingling, before sitting down for dinner at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £70 per person plus service charge and will include a glass of Champagne on arrival, half a bottle of wine, three courses, water and tea or coffee.
To reserve tickets, please contact Ashley Karlsen via email or call 020 3897 6017

Recipe of the Month |
July is prime native lobster season, which means it’s the perfect opportunity to rustle up a lobster salad. Chef Director Tim Hughes’s version includes brightly coloured summer vegetables and a spicy cocktail sauce to boot.
