a Fellowship for Aspiring TV & Film Creatives Writer, actor, director, and longtime Girls Write Now champion Abbi Jacobson chatted with us about Prelude, an 8-month fellowship for people in the Greater Los Angeles area looking to start a career in TV or film. Prelude, a fellowship from Tender Pictures, was co-founded by Abbi Jacobson and Mieka Tennant with the vision of leveling the playing field for entry into the industry. The fellowship is open to ages 18 and up, and applications are due November 10.

One StoryOne Teen Story For the One Teen Story contest, One Story asks writers ages 13-19 to enter their original, unpublished fiction. They are interested in great short stories of any genre about the teen experience—literary, fantasy, sci-fi, love stories, horror, etc. What's in a great short story? Interesting teen characters, strong writing, and a beginning, middle, and end.
