Learn the essential tools needed to run a political campaign. Upon completion of the course, you will recieve the NWPC-NY "Candidate Training Certificate"

Course description:
Candidate Training will be offered to women interested in the political process and seeking public office.  Class focuses on leadership development, building a solid base/viable platform and ethics (excerpts from the National Women's Political Caucus NY training manual). Guest lecturers compliment course content, offering real world simulations facing women candidates.

Pre-requisite:

ABOUT THE NATIONAL WOMEN'S POLITICAL CAUCUS

Started by Gloria Steinem, Congresswomen Shirley Chisholm and Bella Abzug, the National Women’s Political Caucus (NWPC) was Co-founded in 1971 by Democratic & Republican women with a common vision to support pro-choice issues and the passage and ratification of the equal rights amendment (ERA). It is a non-partisan organization with membership throughout the United States.  www.nwpc.org

The NWPC-NY candidate training is open to all without regard to race, gender, national origin or other characteristic. Though NWPC-NY candidate training is focused on increasing the number of qualified women who run for office, the training is not limited to women.
