Thursday greetings
I think this is what many people have been waiting for – the release of the LAND 400 Phase 2 RFT, see the story below, and full details in the tender PDF with this issue.
ADM editor Katherine Ziesing is currently in Sweden as a guest of SAAB. I am sure you’ll find her first brief reports from her northern hemisphere journey of interest as we debate the issue of Australia’s Future Submarine. A proper ‘competitive evaluation’ is essential. As I wrote earlier this week, sustainment must be a sovereign capability. It must occur as a partnership with the designer and builder from day one.
We have some interesting industry news including Ross Spencer from SOS Marine being awarded an Export Hero award – alongside Glenn Keys of Aspen Medical – in Western Australia last week plus the delivery of more Polaris vehicles.
For military and ex-military personnel, I’d like to highlight a seminar being held by Defence Care, an initiative of RSL NSW. It’s 8th March in Penrith, details below.
Next week, the ADM team will be at Avalon ..... I hope the weather is fine and not too hot.
Don’t forget to keep us in the loop with your news. We can’t publish it if we don’t know about it.
Cheers,
Katherine Ziesing
