A WORD FROM JASON REDMAN

Hello Team,

I hope everyone is ready to move into Autumn / Winter.  Just like the seasons change so should your diet.  Healthy food is seasonal and it is beneficial to make your diet seasonal to match this.  

It is important that I share client feedback I receive with you all.  Firstly I need to express that without a client we are nothing and without our people we are nothing.  Both of these things are vital in having a strong, sustainable business.  

The feedback received recently has been about our team members leaving site without informing the client.  I cannot stress enough how important it is to communicate with our clients during times of inclement weather.  You must never depart site until you have been signed off by Reds Global and the client.  Unless of course there is a family emergency or something along those lines. 

Communication with our clients is the main ingredient required to build a good, solid relationship with them.  We as a team need to ensure we always give gratitude to our client and our company by showing them both respect.  

Lastly a reminder to please lubricate the cranes and always put safety first.  I know I remind you of this often but it is always important to think about your partners, your children, your mum, your dad and your mates.  Another subject just as important as your safety is mental health. Asking your mates 'R U OK' could make all the difference.  Reds Global have an Employee Assistance Program available for you and your family.  The details are in this Newsletter.

Gordon Ninness has won the prize for January with 13 likes for his pictures all the way back from 2015 of our cranes at MPV, Macquarie Park.  Evan Young has won the prize for February with 23 likes for his picture at Lidcombe.

TRAINING DAY

Thank you to all who attended training day at Somersby in February.  It was a productive day full of information on Reds Global procedures and maintenance.  Thank you to Jason Redman for his proactive approach to training and for holding this event and keeping people updated on company processes.  Thank you to our trainers for the day James Leitch, Lachlan Granter, Rik Wittkopp, James Moriarty and William McMullen for giving up their time out side of work to produce their presentations and demonstrations.

This month's winner is Tom Hardiman.  Thank you for your effort in always ensuring your paperwork is correct.  Not only are you generally the first person to send it in every week but if there are any changes needed you are the first one to reply.

REDS GLOBAL UPDATES

All the best for the holiday season.  I hope everyone stays safe and enjoys the break.  There are a few updates for you below.  If there have been any new team members start and they say they have not received the Newsletter can you please ask them to contact me so I can add them on the list?  

CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations to Matt Collins for the birth of his daughter Lexi.  Congratulations to Don Rogers for the birth of his son Jesse. Congratulations to Liam Hillen for the birth of his daughter Tahli. 

EMPLOYMENT HERO
This new employee system is now implemented and operational.  Employment Hero is Australia’s best cloud HRIS software, allowing you to safely and easily manage all of your employee details online.  This website is completely secure.  

Any leave requests will now be made via Employment Hero. There is a mobile app that is available for download which is the only way to submit your leave requests.  There are also retail benefits to using this system e.g. 10% off at JB HiFi.  Check out the app for more details on discounts.  

From time to time Employment Hero may generate requests for you to review and accept new policies, procedures or produce various pieces of information relevant to your employment. Please ensure that you follow instructions that are emailed to you, otherwise the system will keep generating that same email until the request has been actioned.

TAGGING SLINGS
Hopefully all team members are aware of the colour system we have in place for tagging slings.  Everyone should have a sticker on their site box by now.  This will be a reminder of what colour should be used for the current quarter.  Your slings must be tagged every 3 months and the gear register must be updated to reflect that you have re-tagged them for the quarter.  The upcoming quarter will be June (meaning April, May and June) and the colour to be used is red.  If you do not have any red tags on site please call me and I will get them out to you ASAP.  The colour system is as per the below:

• March QTR - White
• June QTR - Red
• September QTR - Green
• December QTR - Yellow

PPE REMINDER
Please remember safety glasses are a Reds Global requirement on site at all times regardless of what site you are working on.  Winter PPE is now available.  Please contact myself 0430 168 875 or Ben 0439 204 518 if you haven't yet completed a form.  

MAINTENANCE REMINDER
If you are having any maintenance issues with your crane please call Kyle Unicomb 0419 904 356 and he can organise for a tech to be sent to site if needed.  

EMPLOYEE COUNSELLING SERVICE
Just a reminder of the employee assistance service available to all team members.  There is an update on our website with information regarding the service and some information below.  

If anyone has any news they would like to share in the Newsletter please feel free to contact me either via text: 0430 168 875 or email: rachel@redsglobal.com.  This could be anything from the birth of a child or news that someone is expecting to a holiday / trip you have planned.  Even if you know of some news regarding another team member that they would be happy to share please let me know.
