What a beautiful sunny day to see us into the weekend. We hope you have all had a lovely week and are enjoying the warmer weather. 

Today's Chinese Conversation Corner looks at popular slang in China and how it is used in the digital age. Next Friday's Chinese Conversation Corner will celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and Confucius Day. For everyone who joins, you will also be able to come by our office and collect a FREE Moon Cake! Chengyu of the week

Chengyu 成语 are a type of Chinese idiom which mostly consist of four characters. They were widely used in classical Chinese and are still commonly used today.

Direct Translation: not compensate loss
Meaning: the loss outweighs the gain; the gains do not make up for the losses
