A WORD FROM JASON REDMAN

Hello team!
I would like to start with a big thank you to all who worked on the Canberra dismantle and install last week. This project presented many challenges which our team surmounted with their dedication and resourcefulness. A truly excellent result, congratulations guys you have made us proud.
Also it has once again come to my attention from wonderful efforts on the Mayfair project by Adrian, Mark and Scott that has provided Reds Global the opportunity to supply a recovery crane  on the roof of the “Greenland” project. This opportunity has been delivered by a wonderful effort from the team in Canberra and has again lifted our standards for materials handling. I have to emphasise the importance of both “Attitude and Competence” to get the project delivered safely! Well done men!
Also a great big thanks to the Lucent team Snowy, Rob, Anthony! Well done, delivered safely with a happy client. Despite the testing position of the structure it was delivered with a client that is over the moon on service provided.
I would also like to provide a special thanks to the Rigging team, especially Neil, Dave, Simon, Rik, Lucas, Mitch, Tony, Dylan, Breegan and Andrew for the fantastic efforts in back to back projects. Well done! Also a big special thanks to Peter Beddall and Big Johnny Hourn.
Our recent visit to the Bauma trade fair provided a valuable insight into what is up and coming in the construction industry. It was fantastic to meet face to face with representatives from Yangmao and Terex. There are great opportunities ahead for Reds Global in the industry and we are all very excited about our future.
We work in a high risk industry, and I would like to remind each and every one of you to remain dedicated to safety. Watch out for your fellow workers on site. Start safe, be vigilant and finish safe.
Thanks once again for your dedication to Reds Global “Your first choice in materials handling”

MESSAGES

A WORD FROM DAVE BROWN

Welcome to our May newsletter.
We were fortunate enough to be invited to the largest exhibition in the world last month at Bauma Munich in Germany. The atmosphere was amazing, as was the information, the exhibitors and the massive amount of construction material and materials handling solutions available. These exhibitions allow us to look into the future and see what is being made available and what is on trial in other parts of the world. It was unbelievable to see how far we have come in such a short amount of time. As you are aware Reds Global have been and avid supporter of Terex Comedil for many years and we were amazed by the technology these guys had to offer.
As we move into the future Reds Global will also be bringing about change to the way we conduct ourselves, our business and also gather information from sites with new technology being trialled. Data and information collection that will improve our processes and save huge amounts of time on site.
It is also crucial that as we move further into 2016 we look back at what we have learned and become better then what we were. Reds Global have completed quite a few projects in recent months and although this is challenging for us all, we have been fortunate enough to have secured a few more projects that will come to fruition in the next few months.
It is now that we ask each of you to remain diligent, assist each other and our clients. We must become solution orientated when discussing ways to improve productivity on site and to improve client relationships.
I consider myself very fortunate to work with many of you and to see the great work that you put into projects you are working on.
Keep up the fantastic work guys and be very proud of what you achieve and don’t forget to give that 10% more.
Thank you and see you on site.

RECENT WORKS

HUTCHINSON BUILDERS, GLOBAL SWITCH, ULTIMO

Cranes were successfully dismantled at the Mayfair project in Canberra, Icon Chatswood, and TC2 at SOPA. Installs this month included the Barton project in Canberra, TC3 at SOPA and the Hutchies Global Switch project in Ultimo. Weather conditions made the Canberra project particularly challenging, and the Reds Global rigging crew Credit to the Reds Global rigging crew for doing us proud! We received fantastic feedback from Hutchinsons Builders following the Global Switch installation:
"Thanks to the Reds Global Team. They put the crane up for Hutchinson Builders at our Global Switch job stage 2 and 3. It went very smooth, a professional outfit, made it look easy. All the workers are very polite and act in a professional manner, including all subcontractors such as Borgers Cranes and Lack group traffic control. Once again thanks Reds Global, from Michael Petracca site manager Hutchinson Builders"

STAFF NEWS

TEAM OF THE MONTH - LUCENT NORTH SYDNEY

SNOWY, ANTHONY VANCE AND ROB LAVERY

We would like to recognise the exceptional men on the Lucent project by awarding them Team of the Month for May 2016. Their dedication and professional conduct throughout the project has earned them this prize. The team started strong, consistently gave the extra 10% and finished strong. The rapport they built with the client assisted in creating a successful outcome on this project and the feedback from the client is nothing short of exemplary.

Congratulations on an exceptional project guys! Enjoy your Gold Class movie vouchers, and keep up the good work!

STAFF PROFILE

RYAN HAYES

Ryan has been working as a crane driver/ dogman for 14 years. He is currently placed on TC2 at Olympic Park, and says that the best thing about this project is the blokes he works with and the good rapport they have with the builder and trades. He says working with Tom provides endless laughs, although most of them are unintentional! Ryan's advice is to remember that the crane comes first onsite, keep it flowing and eating up the workload and everything else will flow after that.

CHARITY

SAFETY MESSAGE

A WORD FROM ANDREW

I would like to thank the Reds Global team for displaying a notable improvement in attitude towards safety documentation. This is very encouraging, as it shows that our safety culture is progressing in the right direction. Further to this, please remember that all site safety documentation must be of an original nature each week and be warned that duplication will not be tolerated.

Monitoring the inspection dates of lifting gear and fire extinguishers is essential in making your workplace as safe as possible. It is your responsibility as a member of the Reds Global tower crane crew to ensure that lifting gear and fire extinguishers are replaced before they are out of date.

Remember, safety is productivity.
