In our last Defence Week for the year, we cover the arrival of the first two F-35s at RAAF Williamtown on Monday. The welcome marks the beginning of a testing and evaluation process that aims to achieve IOC by the end of 2020, with six further jets scheduled to arrive next year.
In other news, fallout continues on PFAS contamination, a report from Norway creates a headache for Defence, Curtiss-Wright gives guidance on how to become a supplier for Land 400, Kongsberg expands operations in Australia, a new defence industry task force sets up in the Hunter, NIOA wins an award in NZ, and Australian companies show their wares at Euronaval.
And a final house announcement: Publication of Defence Week will resume on 24 January, a few weeks before ADM Congress 2019 on February 13th at the Playhouse Theatre, Canberra.
From the whole team here at ADM, we wish you a very merry Christmas and Happy New Year (click here to see our Christmas card).
See you in 2019,
