LOCAL SPOTLIGHT

Slow Food Katy Trail teaches kids in Columbia, Missouri about Slow Food through their Harvest of the Month program. First, a farmer brings produce, honey, or eggs to the class for them to cook and taste together. Then students respond creatively  through art or writing. Finally, in the spring, students head to the farm to try their hand at weeding crops before a picnic lunch. In 2015, the chapter teamed up with Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture to expand the program. Here’s to another eight years of delicious learning in Columbus!

Slow Wine 101

Wine, like food, should be good, clean and fair. The Italian Slow Wine team started off 2016 with a tour of the USA, and our corresponding blog series covered the evolution of Slow Wine, trailblazers in Oregon, domestic producers doing it right, and what Slow Wine could look like in the USA.
