Good morning, everyone! Here we are, halfway through FEBRUARY, and the year is just flying by. Thankfully, I'm home right now so I'm enjoying a bit of a shortened workday so I can spend some more time with my girls. We even (gasp) delayed a meeting, so my management team could spend more time with their families today rather than sit on a call with ME for an hour. That's my President's Day! Walks with my beautiful bride and Barkley, and hopefully some time on the bikes cruising around the neighborhood with the girls. Like every kid these days, they'd rather spend their time online, on their iPads chatting and gaming with their friends, but we do our best to limit that time and get them (GASP!) OUTSIDE!
It's that beautiful time of
year in Phoenix, so it's prime time for the trampoline, walks, hikes, soccer and bike rides. The girls love their Netflix, but like many of you, I seem to recall spending more time outside. As a giant (I'm 6' 7" tall), I spent a lot of that time shooting hoops and playing half-court basketball with my friends. Time not spent playing basketball was when we'd be running through the desert exploring. Of course, once I got my first computer, an 8086 computer my Dad brought home from work before I got my first BARN BURNER 286 PC, I spent more time inside. I also can't forget that my friends had an NES (Nintendo Entertainment System), so once that happened in the mid-80s we spent hours playing Punch Out, Duck Hunt, Double Dragon and Super Mario Brothers. So, I can't blame the girls for wanting to hang around with their iPads, FaceTiming their friends and gaming for
hours. It IS in their blood. I don't even want to get into my old addiction Everquest (a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game). That's a long way of saying that being a gaming geek is in their blood, LOL.
Work wise, we keep working on bringing more cases to you. Right now, I'm discussing a number of new cases with some awesome class action lawyers. We're working on the front line of case theory, and even when a case is lost it tends to come back with a different strategy to beat the defendants in the long term. There are battles in these cases but the majority of the time, if the case is strong, it ends in a solid settlement for consumers. That's what matters to us, that consumers are taken care of. We want to make sure you can maximize your claims and get you PAID for everything you qualify for! Heck,
right now I'm looking at a settlement my beautiful bride received. It's up to $500 without any proof, $10,000 max if she suffered identity theft or other damages! All from a data breach class action! That's pretty darn good for consumers. We'll get it included in our Open Settlements section soon.
OK, on to more lawsuit and settlement updates!
That's all for now! Make it a GREAT WEEK!
Warm Regards,
