WMMD Engaging Young Persons Event

Establishing partnerships with colleges to engage young people.

Our upcoming engaging young persons event not only includes sharing best practice from within the sector but also representatives from local colleges discussing work experience for post 16 year olds, apprenticeships and partnerships to see how museums and colleges could potentially work together.

Arts Connect West Midlands will also be joining us to give an overview of Arts Award and how you can become an Arts Award Supporter.

There are two opportunities to attend this event:

Tuesday 9 February 10am - 4pm, Rugby Art Gallery and Museum

Join Jessica Hartshorn, Learning Outreach Officer at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum, and Roy Job, Head of Department Visual and Performing Arts & Hair and Beauty at Rugby College, to discuss the on-going success of the partnership between the college and the gallery.

Claire Bird, Young Persons Programme Co-ordinator at Ikon Gallery Birmingham, will also be joining us to share the recent projects of the Ikon Youth Programme (IYP) and Black Country Voyages.
