MESSAGES

A WORD FROM JASON REDMAN

Hello Team,

Its is great to be writing to you at the commencement of school and in traffic terms the commencement of real traffic!  Warm wishes to those of you that have little ones commencing school, completing school or just starting again for another year.

To those of you out and about looking for love and dreaming of beginnings of your own family, warm wishes.

On Sunday, I was fortunate enough to compete with my eldest son in the 2.8km ocean swim from palm beach to whale beach, during this time (which was lengthy for a slow swimmer like me) I had plenty of time to contemplate what it takes to be ready and prepared for an event like this.

It takes careful planning, persons willing to assist and willing participants like ourselves. Our business is very similar and takes all of these attributes, planning, willingness and participation on a daily basis.  Please never underestimate the key ingredients in your own personal lives and at work as they are vitally important.  Always be at the top of your game, smile when adversity hits and never ever give in!

I would also like to make it abundantly clear that Reds Global’s point of difference is our expert personnel that conduct materials handling safely and with a smile. Seek to make the difference to our clients that choose our brand, your company.

For those that attended the christmas party last month, thanks for making the time and sharing the day with our families.  I for one had a great day and would like to thank all those who made it happen, a special thanks to Rachel, it was a fantastic day.

Once again I would personally like to thank Dave and the operations team for a wonderful job in safely and successfully installing 3 cranes already this year.

Lets lift our game this year and “Fire Up”.  All the very best and I look forward to seeing you all on site.

Jason Redman

A WORD FROM DAVE BROWN

Welcome to our latest newsletter following the Australia Day shut down.  As always, we endeavour to squeeze as much as we can into our newsletter and this month is no different.  I have broken it up into three areas, in no sequence of importance.

PPE
Reds Global have supplied quality uniforms for both summer and winter and at all times, you are expected to wear what has been supplied.  There are no special privileges for any of our employees working on site, so please wear the uniform with pride.

We always carry plenty of gloves and glasses in our vehicles so please let us know.  If there are any specific requests it is best to send through with weekly site documentation.

Hot Weather
We seem to have conflicting situations on site every summer and we really do understand that every site is different.  We ask that you communicate with the site management to ensure that you are getting your message across.  A few rules to follow:

  1. Unless there is a compliant temperature gauge, use the nearest BOM weather station
  2. If temperatures reach 35 degrees there is an orderly cessation of work
  3. Hot weather does not entitle workers to leave site
  4. If our clients choose to send you home a phone call to Ben or myself must be made before leaving site
  5. Any questions please call myself or Ben

Be a Leader
We have had a few challenges recently with situations regarding our crane crew members, for one reason or another being relocated to another site.  This could be for many reasons and unfortunately it does happen.  Most of the time this challenge is due to lack of planning or communication.

The crane crew cannot always be at fault however, we are usually the ones that are caught on the firing line.  Its not an easy decision to move a team member, although in most situations, we get little choice.  Start planning ahead, communicate with your on site management and build rapport with each of them and always act professionally.

The team at Reds Global appreciates your feedback.  We encourage you all to provide feedback to the office so that we can all improve and grow together.

Reds Global appreciate the constant assistance and commitment that you provide us with although please remember that it takes a little bit more to make a difference, sometimes all it takes is that additional 10%.

Please take care, work safe and stay committed.

With our kind regards

Dave Brown

MESSAGES

A WORD FROM RACHEL LAIDLAW

Hello Team,

Welcome back for another year of fun with Reds Global.  I hope everyone enjoyed the break and I look forward to catching up with some of you for the weekly check up.  If you were not aware already, each week I contact our team leaders and enquire if there are any issues on site or with the crane that they wish to report.

I read through the safety paperwork that is sent in each week and give team leaders a call to touch base and let them know that their issues are important to Reds Global.  If you require any equipment, PPE or are having any issues on site or with the crane, please do not hesitate to contact me 0488 049 298.

I want to remind everyone to stay alert and safe on the road this year.  There were approximately 338 fatalities on NSW roads in the last year according to NSW road toll statistics.  This figure can be reduced dramatically by taking regular breaks on long trips, not getting distracted from the road by technology and keeping alert, and looking at what is going on around you at all times.

Stay safe, all the best.

REDS GLOBAL UPDATES

Welcome back to Rik Wittkopp who has just returned from a well deserved holiday in Europe.  The admiration of tower cranes never ends, even whilst on holidays.

The safety team are in the process of developing driver and new site safety inductions.  This should be completed by 1 March 17 and all team members will be involved in these inductions.

If anyone has any news they would like to share in the Newsletter please feel free to contact me either via text: 0488 049 298 or email: rachel@redsglobal.com.  This could be anything from the birth of a child or news that someone is expecting to a holiday / trip you have planned.  Even if you know of some news regarding another team member that they would be happy to share please let me know.

2017 will be an exciting and important year for Reds Global with the acquisition of 4 new Comedil Cranes and the ongoing emphasis on training and safety shown by Jason and Dave.  Reds Global will continue to be the leaders in crane

hire and materials handling, not only in NSW but across the country.

Important training and understanding of legislation and safety management is currently being conducted by Peter Hafey our WHS Manager.  Our workplace is rapidly changing and our roles and responsibilities are expanding to suit the current environment and clients requirements and expectations.

The future for Reds Global is to become a major participant in the planned government infrastructure projects about to be built across the country, to service our existing clients and expand our materials handling and crane hire, compliance and understanding of government legislation, along with our clients expectations and requirements.  This will lead us into 2017 and beyond with exciting prospects for all.

Best wishes,

Glen Pears
