FLORIDA REALTORS EDUCATION FOUNDATION OFFERS 2014 SCHOLARSHIP
The Florida Realtors are advertising this week’s deadline for applications for their Florida Association of Realtors Education Foundation Scholarship which is not limited to real estate majors. Scholarships awarded may range from $1,000 and above and will be presented for the Fall 2014 semester. Students must be Florida residents and transcripts must be provided for the last 3 years. The deadline is this Friday, February 28 by 5:00 p.m. Apply online.

SKIDMORE, OWINGS & MERRILL SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
International architect Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP announces its 2014 Summer Internship Program for all offices.  The program will begin on June 2 and conclude on August 8.  They invite all students from Architecture, Interiors, Structural, MEP and Sustainable Engineering and Urban Design to apply.  Participation is limited to current students returning to study in the fall. The application submission deadline is March 28Apply online.

STUDENTS FROM SICILY VISIT SOA THROUGH MAY 5
Professor Carmen Guerrero, recently named visiting professor by the University of Palermo, Sicily, will welcome her Palermo group to the SOA campus from March 4 through May 5.

Award-winning New York artist and architect Sara Caples will present an intriguing lecture Artist < = > Architect at 6:00 p.m. in Glasgow Hall.  What is art in architecture?  What is not? Can an artist practice architecture?  Can an architect practice art?  Is an architect ever really an artist?   Professor Caples will explore some of the interesting confusions inherent in these questions.  Refreshments will be served.
