All students, faculty and staff are invited to the Awards Program and Reception in honor of School of Architecture Dean Emeritus Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk this 5:30 Friday, September 20. Program and award presentation by President Donna E. Shalala and University Provost Thomas J. LeBlanc in Glasgow Hall; and reception including buffet and beverages from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Korach Gallery.

MICHAEL MESKO LECTURES IN GLASGOW WEDNESDAY EVENING
Michael Mesko, principal of Michael Mesko Design in New York City and President of the Fellows of ICAA (the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art), will lecture on traditional classical design this Wednesday evening in Glasgow Hall at 6:00 p.m. This is the first student, faculty and public lecture of the fall. Refreshments will be served.

TWO STUDENT GROUPS MAKE FIELD TRIPS TO SEASIDE, FLORIDA AND NEW YORK CITY
Second-year coordinator Oscar Machado led last week’s student trip to Seaside in the Florida Panhandle. Seaside is the first New Urbanism community. Another group of students traveled with Jean-Francois Lejeune, coordinator of graduate programs, to New York City.

STUDENT COUNCIL FIRST-YEAR OFFICERS NAMED
Student council president Jonas Doggart has announced the two first-year student representatives on the student council list of board members. Congratulations to Erin Hickey and Sarah Potter. All officers of our three SoA student organizations appear in the student section of the glass case bulletin board.
