Check-In! Connect!

As we begin to wrap up the Fall 2015 semester, we want to make sure that not only your student, but you, feel prepared and have the resources you need to be successful.

Let us hear from you! What questions do you have or what do you want to know more about? Follow the link below to ask any questions you may have and we can directly answer but also put it in our newsletters if we think other family members would benefit as well!

Course Registration & Majors

Advisement for student's spring class schedules is in full swing. Have you had those conversations with your student about what classes they intend to take or if their major is the right one? Students should have received a message to meet with their advisor so they can discuss their academic progress. Students must do this prior to being able to enroll in classes.

Reflect on the Semester: Meet with a Career Counselor
Also to make sure students are on the right path, they can visit our Career Services office to do a Self-Directed Search assessment to help identify their path. This is always good for those that don't know what they want to major in or if they need to verify they are on the correct path. Career Services can be reached at 912.344.2563 or by email at Careers@Armstrong.edu

Finals & Exam Care Packages

Keep in mind that final exams are going to held immediately upon students' return to campus after Thanksgiving break. While we want them to enjoy their time at home and relax, they will need to do some studying to make sure they feel prepared for their tests upon their return. Students can find their final exam schedules by talking to their professors and also viewing our website here: View Fall 2015 Fall Exam Schedule Here

Final exams can be a stressful time for a student. Recently, Housing & Residence Life and Parent & Family Programs sent out an offer to provide you the ability to send your student an exam care package. Fill out the form you received this week to get the packages ordered, paid, and delivered to your student in time for finals! They would greatly appreciate the small gift. We are very excited to be partnering with On-Campus Marketing (OCM) to facilitate such an offer.

Graduation is Near

Is your student set to Graduate this year? Congratulations!  As we approach the big day, encourage your student to read their email to make sure they don't miss any important details.

If your student graduates Fall 2015, they need to have applied to graduate, order their cap and gown, and then can attend the Graduation Fair on Wednesday, November 18th from 1:00-6:00pm. This event is where they can pick up their regalia, receive their placement name card for the ceremony, learn about the hooding ceremony if they are in a masters program, or meet with other representatives such as career services and alumni affairs.

We look forward to seeing all the great family members joining us for this fall's celebration on our campus in the Armstrong Sports Arena Saturday December 12th!

Please reach out to the Registrar's office if you or your student have any questions about commencement ceremonies.
