Click here Young & eSafe is live!Last week we launched our new online youth engagement platform—Young & eSafe—designed to educate and empower young people to take control of their online experiences. The launch event involved an empowering, high impact workshop with a group of local high school students in Sydney. Facilitated by our friends at PROJECT ROCKIT, young people were encouraged to engage with the program content and develop creative, practical solutions to online safety issues. This platform shows how young people can become positive forces online to counter negative behaviours such as online hate and racism by fostering values of respect and empathy. Check out Young & eSafe and keep an eye out for our soon-to-be released teacher’s guides and lesson plans. Latest research: Social cohesionDid you know that 50 to 60 percent of young Australians aged 12 to 17 have witnessed racist or hateful comments about cultural or religious groups online? Our latest research looks at young people’s experiences with hate, bullying, and violence online, as well as trust and confidence in online information sources and relationships. Conducted in partnership with the Department of Education and Training, these findings help us develop policies and programs designed to promote social cohesion and digital resilience among young people.
