The Ukraine Democratic Security Sector Governance Website is part of a project on SSR in Ukraine that is implemented by DCAF in cooperation with the Razumkov Centre and with funding by the Netherlands. Organised around six main topics and six main actors, the website provides a valuable Best Practices section that aims to support democratic security sector governance in Ukraine.

Assessing the Impact of Orthodox Security Sector Reform in Bosnia-Herzegovina

This paper by the Centre for Security Governance (CSG) is part of a multi year CSG research project titled "Exploring the transition from first to second generation SSR in conflict-affected societies". Some twenty years after the Dayton peace agreement, the paper analyses the role of the international community in the SSR process in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and explores the issues raised by the lack of local ownership and the competing visions of local actors.

Rule of Law Checklist

The Rule of Law Checklist by the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe intends to build on the improvement in qualitative measurement of Rule of Law indicators in the context of the SDGs. The checklist provides a tool for assessing the Rule of Law in a given country through the constitutional and legal structures, the legislation in force, and existing case-law.
