In Case You Missed It: Metro Atlanta Speaks Results DashboardNow in its sixth year, the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Metro Atlanta Speaks survey polls residents from 13 metro counties on questions about transportation, the economy, amenities and quality of life, civic engagement and the future of the region. In 2018, the survey also introduced a series of questions exploring housing and affordability. Results from 2018, as well as 2017 and 2016, are available in an interactive dashboard that enables users to dive into data by areas of interest, respondent type and year. Special Feature: Highways, Urban Renewal, and Patterns in the Built EnvironmentThis story map explores how Atlanta’s built environment and human landscape were shaped in large part by highway construction through the city’s downtown area in the middle part of the 20th century. It couples interactive maps of past and present Atlanta with historical context to create a compelling story about Atlanta's change over time. Note: Story maps are ideally viewed on laptops or monitors.
