New Videos Promote Safe Sleeping for Babies

In our last Tidbits issue, we promoted a safe sleep environment for babies to reduce sleep-related infant deaths. As you recall, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends the supine position for sleeping (lying horizontally with the face and torso facing up); use of a firm sleep surface; room sharing without bed sharing; and avoidance of soft bedding and overheating.

In this issue, we feature four new DFPS videos that take a fun approach to raising awareness on how to make sleep safer for babies.

They're available in English and Spanish, and staff and program participants can watch them all on the DFPS YouTube channel.
