Prompt of the Week

by Salon Artist Christina Olivares

Write a list of places that make you feel safe. Choose one of the spaces from your list and draw/map the space on the page. Then, write couplets speaking back to that space.

Learn how memory and poetry intersect with poet Christina Olivares. Through writing exercises exploring how you might articulate the smallest traces of memory, you will practice how to think about writing sequences of small poems to articulate larger memories.
