Recently, the PBS New Hour produced an informative piece on evidence-based, early childhood programs including  Nurse-Family Partnership and HIPPY programs. Researchers, providers, and program participants discussed the benefits and science behind early childhood development programs as well as their long-term cost savings. Click here to watch.

Program Site Spotlights

Dallas County

YWCA Dallas submitted their NFP holiday party photos.  Staff and program participants were invited to make holiday crafts, enjoy refreshments, take a pic with Santa, and meet other parents.

 

Harris County

The Texas Children's Health Plan submitted a photo from their group outing where program participants shared in bonding with their children and other parents.

 

Wichita County's Media Mention

Recently, the Times Record News in Wichita Falls produced an article to raise awareness of home visiting programs in the area- Nurse-Family Partnership, Parents as Teachers, and Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters. Click here to continue reading.

 

2016 Community IMPACT Meeting

As you know, registration is now open for the '2016 Community IMPACT Meeting' hosted by Texas Home Visiting Program. The conference will be held Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, February 17 – 19, 2016 at the Crowne Plaza Suites Arlington - Ballpark Stadium located in Arlington, TX. We look forward to a great event that will help to enhance community coalitions statewide and their ability to help all Texas children reach their full potential in nurturing family and community environments. The Children’s Policy Conference

Mark your calendars for The Children’s Policy Conference, Wednesday, February 24, 2016. The conference will bring together Texans involved in informing, crafting, and implementing state policies affecting the well-being of Texas children and offers a unique opportunity for more than 200 policy experts, community leaders, practitioners, and researchers from around the state to attend interactive panel discussions featuring leading Texas voices and policy experts.
