Welcome to Langwith College

We are really looking forward to meeting and getting to know you!

Hi, My name is Jonny Exon and I manage the Langwith College Team. Alongside Suzanne Dekker (College Administrator), Sam Haley (College Tutor) and Jeremy Jacobs (College Principal), we work together to make sure that every student in Langwith is welcomed to their new community and is able to make the most of their time at University.

We recognise that you’re starting your university journey in challenging times and we want you to know your college team is here to support you every step of the way.

We have organised an induction and a number of online activities in advance of your arrival, so that you have an opportunity to meet the college team, your committee, STYCs, STYMs and other Langwith members to find out more about what it will be like when you arrive.

Take a look at the Langwith Welcome Week 2020 or join the ‘Official Langwith College Page’  to find out what is planned next week and sign up to join us.

Completing the online induction is a great place to start your university journey. York prides itself on being a community built on respect, and this induction explains more about the community you will be joining and our values. It is packed with useful information and resources to support you through your first few weeks.

New students living on campus will arrive into college over a number of days to ensure that we can follow the latest Covid guidance. We will contact you by email to arrange a time to arrive, so keep an eye on your University inbox to book an arrivals slot.

Once you’ve arrived, there will be planned welcome events and activities providing safe opportunities to meet other new students and join campus and city tours.
