ATAPS Perinatal Mental Health Service

This service offers up to 12 free sessions with an allied health provider per calendar year for perinatal women. This service is specifically designed as short-term psychological treatment for the prevention and early detection of antenatal and postnatal depression for expectant and new mothers. How do I refer?

Please note: perinatal women are not means tested and are eligible for free psychological intervention

 

Zika virus: Regularly check the Department of Health website for the latest information and a list of countries with current or recent local transmission of Zika virus. Monitoring of Zika virus is ongoing with updates to this website as important information comes to hand.

Vaccination during pregnancyInfluenza vaccination is recommended for all pregnant women, regardless of gestation. Antenatal pertussis vaccination is recommended for all pregnant women in the third trimester (preferably at 28 weeks).

What is the Family Referral Service and how can it provide assistance to patients?

The Family Referral Service (FRS) brings together families, support services and community resources so that children and young people are safe and well. They work with all services to find out what best supports young people and families and their children, and what can be done to improve community resources. Read more
