Keeping families together this month means.... This week, keeping families together means getting ready to bless over 100 kids and 55 families for Christmas.Feliz NavidadWe pray this holiday season that the peace and presence of God is upon each and every one of you. Thank you so much for your continual support and prayers for Open Arms. This Christmas we have a few needs—as you can imagine, providing for over 100 children at both locations can be challenging. But God is so very faithful. We love how He uses the body of Christ to provide for the least of these. We are looking for a family gift for each of the 55 families we have in our care. This year, we would like to provide a set of 4 bath towels, 4 washcloths, and , 2 hand towels for each family. They can be any color, any style. When we do home visits, we have noticed that these items in particular are greatly needed by our families! If you feel led to purchase a set or two of towels, please reply to this email with how many sets you will send and then mail them to:
Additionally, we need new boys' clothes and new toys. Please send these to the address above. We also have some larger needs before 2016 comes to a close. If you are looking to get in a year-end donation, here are a few things your gift could go towards: Two acre-property in Camalu: $35,000 needed to build housing for our mission teams and volunteers. This is vital to our mission, as we depend on hundreds of volunteers year-round to serve the children and community. We currently have $7,400 set aside for this property so far. Camalu church plant:, $60,000 for the first year of ministry needs ($5,000 a month). With the average income in Camalu being $8- $12 a day, running a church and all its programs on the tithes and offerings that come in would be very difficult. Please consider helping us get the church plant going and expanding the Kingdom of God. Thank you in advance for considering our needs as we close out 2016! May God bless you abundantly for all you do! |
