A word from Steph

Mental Health Month is here on Friday, which is a huge and busy time for people working in this sector. At WayAhead, we run the NSW campaign for this month, which has the theme Tune In, which is all about being present and connected - to yourself, the world around you, your community. The MHM Toolkit has a plethora of resources that organisations and individuals can use to bring Tune In to life.

This last month, the thing that has excited me the most was reading the National Workplace Initiative Blueprint for Mentally Healthy Workplaces. It is so great to see the beginnings of a national and consistent approach to keeping workplaces mentally safe and healthy, and I encourage everyone to have a read and provide any feedback.

October has a lot going on for WayAhead Workplaces, our Virtual Member Meeting is happening on October 12, plus myself and colleague Asha Zappa (Mental Health Promotion Manager) are contributing to Annual Mental Health series run by Arriba Group, the parent company of Rehab Management, AimBig and LiveBig on psychosocial risks in the workplace from the perspective of lived experience on Thursday 21 October 12-1pm.

And finally, please join our new and improved LinkedIn community group - Workplace Wellbeing Australia, designed for anyone in the sector, not just WW members, to share and connect.
