December - A big thank you

I'd like to give a thank you to everyone who has continued to follow along and support me through 2019. I have great clients, friends, and family who keep me going. To be a successful realtor, you need passion and energy to help carry you through. All of you provide that support and energy and I am forever grateful for each and every one of you. Even by just reading and subscribing to my newsletter, you are supporting me and it does not go unnoticed. I love being a realtor and how it provides me with an opportunity to help my clients find joy in new homes and new beginnings. I can’t wait for 2020, and I look forward to sharing my journey with you.

I wish all of you a happy, healthy and memorable holiday season!

SLC - HAPPENINGS

Here are a few events that caught my eye happening in and around Salt Lake in the next few weeks.

Salt & Honey Holiday Makers Market

With 200 vendors and 2 locations the 2019 Holiday Makers Market and Gift Boutique is a unique shopping event to remember! Shop local this season and give the gift of a handcrafted or one-of-a-kind gift. The market will be open December 2nd to December 30th.

Ogden's Christmas Village

Christmas Village Illuminates Ogden's downtown area with magnificent displays and holiday lights every year from the Saturday after Thanksgiving through January 1. Spectators find themselves in a dazzling winter wonderland set aglow with Christmas lights and a unique setting of cottages modeled after Santa's village at the North Pole. The lights are on at Christmas Village from 5pm to midnight every night and admission is free.

Candlelight Christmas

It's hard to describe the magic of Candlelight Christmas. We'd like you to experience it! The Village is decorated like a Currier & Ives card, and you'll feel like you've taken a step back in time when you join us for this enchanting event.

NEW RECIPE

Big, Soft Sour Cream Sugar Cookies

(food.com)

This recipe makes a lot of cookies, so I would cut it in half if you would like a smaller portion.

Ingredients

  • 1  cup sour cream
  • 1  teaspoon baking soda
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
  • 1  cup butter, melted
  • 2  cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1  teaspoon vanilla
  • 5  cups flour sifted

Directions

  1. Dissolve baking soda and salt in Sour cream.
  2. Mix butter and sugar.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Mix in Sour cream mixture.
  5. Slowly add flour, and mix well.
  6. Chill for at least one hour.
  7. Roll out and cut with your favorite shapes (Be sure not to roll too thin).
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
  9. Let cookies cool, and decorate with your favorite Icing (I prefer Royal Icing).
