HERE'S A WRAP

The final months of our financial year have been marked by both challenge and progress. A serious cyber incident impacted our operations, culminating in the loss of thecoromandel(dot)com, a valued digital asset that held years of brand equity. In response, we launched our new website thecoromandel.nz, a fresh platform that we are now focused on rebuilding and strengthening. Please also note that legal proceedings are currently underway in relation to the cyber incident and the loss of thecoromandel(dot)com. We are committed to keeping you informed as this process continues.

Amid this disruption there have also been important steps forward. Our Board, alongside our key stakeholders at Thames-Coromandel District Council and Hauraki District Council, have signed off on our new Service Level Agreement and business plan, providing a strong foundation as we move into the next phase of our work.

As we look ahead to the coming year, our focus remains firmly on keeping Hauraki Coromandel in the hearts and minds of both future visitors and our loyal community. Re-establishing the reach and value of thecoromandel.nz will be central to that, as we continue to champion our region with energy, care and creativity.

Below is a high-level summary of some of the past few months’ highlights, a reflection of our business-as-usual activities and the core purpose of Destination Hauraki Coromandel.

KEEP US AND VISITORS UPDATED

Website listings and deals - Remember to keep your listing on thecoromandel.nz up to date, both with your details and any deals you might have on offer. This is done via your login at register.newzealand.com or for some it is done on directly on the members portal on thecoromandel.nz. Note, passwords will need to be reset for our website's members portal (due to the domain loss).

Product Details Survey - Thanks to those 100 operators who have completed our operator survey, for those who haven't yet completed it, this is a quick reminder to take 5 minutes to do so. It’s the easiest way to make sure we have the latest information about your product offerings and experiences to share with media, trade, and industry partners.

FIND YOUR 100%

Tourism New Zealand’s refreshed 100% Pure New Zealand campaign is now live, celebrating the people, places, and culture that make Aotearoa unique. The global campaign invites travellers to “find their 100%” through rich, meaningful experiences across the motu, any time of year. Operators can get involved by ensuring their products are listed and up to date on newzealand.com and using campaign-aligned messaging in their marketing.

To be part of the campaign and access brand assets, messaging guidelines, and visuals, download the industry toolkit from Tourism New Zealand’s website and help share what makes your place 100%.
