Girls Write Now On the Other Side of Everything

Mentors and Mentees See Their Published Work

It's our favorite reveal of the year: anthology pick up day! Mentors and mentees stopped by our headquarters to get their copies of Girls Write Now On the Other Side of Everything: the 2023 Anthology, in which over 120 mentees published their original work. You can get your own copy at one of our independent bookstore partners: P&T Knitwear, McNally Jackson, Books Are Magic, and Yu & Me Books.

For our national mentors & mentees, look out for your mailed copy in June.

Prompt of the Week

Writing Prompts for Change: Letters For & From Our Trans Community

Write a letter to a trans or non-binary person in your life (this can also be a letter to yourself). How can you offer love and support in a way that prioritizes their needs? When have you experienced gender affirmation or gender euphoria?

Write a letter to your state representative about a recent piece of transgender legislation. What are your concerns? Include any personal testimony that will help you make your point.

During this most recent spate of anti-trans legislation across the United States, we want to invite our community to leave their letters on our website, so that others may draw strength, love, and inspiration from them.
