The 2016 Mayor's Business Lunch Recap

Thank you to all that made it out to the Mayor’s Fall Business Lunch.  This year’s theme of “Culinary Caledon, Empowering Youth” shone through in an amazing array of colours. Special thank you to students and academic leads from the culinary programs and clubs of King’s College School, Mayfield SS, Robert F Hall CSS, and St. Michael CSS. We were witness to a very bright culinary future in Caledon with, overwhelmingly, positive feedback on the food that was prepared for the event!

The present is just as promising thanks to our panel of culinary industry experts: Tom Wilson of Spirit Tree Cidery, Jason Taylor of Taylor’d For Taste, and Katie Carolan of YourFarms. Checkout the panel discussion and photos from the event.

RIC Centre Business Incubator now accepting applications! Deadline: December 16

The business incubator concept is redefined at the RIC Centre. RIC Centre’s strategic focus for 2017 is to work with innovators in the following range of sectors:

  • Advanced Manufacturing
  • Clean Technologies
  • Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)

Traditional models of business accelerators are focused on companies in an early stage of idea development. Their mission is to help define and shape the idea in the hope that it might evolve into a viable business model.

The RIC Centre Incubator recruits companies that have a viable business on the verge of launching to the next level of growth. The incubator's mission is to define their path to market, in part, by exploring and securing partnerships that will open access to capital, to connections and to paying customers.

  • Info Session for Interested Applicants: Monday, December 12, 2016
  • Applications close on Friday, December 16.
