New rules for Visitor Cards

CSCS is reminding the industry that the Construction Site Visitor (CSV) card is being withdrawn. All CSV cards issued from 3rd September 2018 will expire on 31st August 2020. CSCS will stop issuing CSV cards on the 28th February 2020. Read more

Chartered Institute of Housing approved for PQP cards

The Chartered Member and Fellow grades at the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) are now eligible for the Professionally Qualified Person (PQP) card. CSCS worked closely with the CIH to map their membership criteria against our requirements. Read more

Bricklayer Trailblazer gains CSCS recognition

CSCS is pleased to announce recognition of the new bricklayer apprenticeship standard Level 2 developed by the FMB-led employer group, in partnership with the wider industry. On completion of the apprenticeship workers will be able to apply for the CSCS blue Skilled Worker card. Read more

New white paper on CSCS SmartCards

A new white paper by CSCS IT Partner Donseed looks at the statistics behind how CSCS SmartCards are currently being verified on site. It highlights that visual checks with paper-based recording are almost 10 x more likely to occur than electronic checks using smart technology. Read more.

Partner Card Forum

The 2nd Partner Card Forum was held this month. All of CSCS’ Partner Card Schemes had the opportunity to come together and discuss the challenges facing all certification schemes. In particular, the forum focused on working together to protect the construction industry from card fraud. Read more.
