Good morning, awesome TCA Viewers! I hope you had a GREAT week! Yesterday I did something lots of Arizonans do around now... I inflated the tires of our bikes! We're finally only seeing highs around 99 so that means it's MOSTLY safe to go outside during the day again! HOORAY!
Sydney had a friend over and wanted to ride bikes around the cul-de-sac, so in a fit of Dad wisdom, I filled the tires of the entire family's bicycles (not just the girls' bikes.) While I was putting away the air compressor, after Sydney and her friend completed a lap or two around the cul-de-sac, I was rewarded with my foresight by hearing, "Daddy, will you go with us on a LONGER bike ride?" My master plan to hang out with my kid WORKED! WOOHOO!
We went down the street, into a drainage ditch, back up the other side of the ditch, and then made our way down a dirt path until we found the main "fun" (according to the girls and ME): a large, lengthy, concrete wash. This gets filled during our big storms, but 99.99% of the time it's dry as the Sahara! We had fun cruising up and down the concrete embankments in the wash, like a large concrete halfpipe. In my head I was taking part in the movie Rad! That's a throwback, right??? After a while, we made our way back up through the wash, back onto the mean streets of Phoenix, and home. Warm, a little
sweaty, but not melting like we would have been just a few short weeks ago.
I'm so thankful that the heat's died down enough we can head out for something fun like that during the day. More walks for Barkley, more time outside with the family, and more bike rides, means I should be able to shed my summer weight in the near future (at least that's what I'm telling myself LOL.) Of course, maybe the extra weight will keep me warm in the dead of winter?
Anyways, back to work for me! Today I taped my regular sessions with Farron Cousins on the Ring of
Fire earlier today. If you haven't checked them out, please do so! We talk about the latest class actions, settlements, and other interesting news affecting consumers. OK, enough from me. How about some more lawsuit and settlement updates?
That's all for now! Make it a GREAT week!
Warm Regards,
