Healthlink Smartform for Haematology Referrals to the SLHD - Concord Hospital and the RPAH - are easily generated from the patient file, auto-populating most of the referrals and upon completion the referral is sent electronically and securely to the relevant Heamatology Clinic. Rainbow BuzzACON, with the support of Central and Eastern Sydney PHN, is providing free and essential two part webinars for GPs. Rainbow Buzz will strengthen your understanding of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people and communities to deliver more inclusive, informed and appropriate care while supporting clients experiencing issues with alcohol and or other drugs Event: Pharmacotherapy for Alcohol DetoxificationThis session covers the medications use to manage alcohol detoxication and relapse prevention for alcohol dependent patients. This session is for GPs working in primary care and will assist them to understand the principles of detoxification, relapse prevention and aftercare for patient with alcohol dependence and will help equip them with the skills to identify, treat and or refer for detoxification and manage relapse prevention and aftercare with their patients in the course of usual consultations. 80 general practices take advantage of POLAR80 general practices in the CESPHN region have now implemented the POLAR tool which analyses practice data and can improve clinical and business outcomes. Expansion of the community pharmacist vaccination programClause 48A of the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Regulation 2008 will be amended to commence on 1 January 2019 to authorise appropriately trained pharmacists in NSW to administer privately funded diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (dTpa) and measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine (in addition to influenza vaccine).
