Australian Postgraduate Awards (APA) and University of Sydney Postgraduate Awards (UPA)
Australian Postgraduate Awards (APA) and University of Sydney Postgraduate Awards (UPA) are scholarships to assist with general living costs and are awarded to students of exceptional research potential to undertake a higher degree by research at this university. Eligible APA applicants will be automatically considered for both awards. The University awards these scholarships twice a year. Round Two is now open
and is for admission to research period 3 or 4, i.e. July to October, of the same calendar year. Applicants must be an Australian citizen, permanent residents, New Zealand citizen or a holder of a VISA that allows the applicant to enrol as a domestic student. 2016 stipend rate is $26,288 and will be indexed yearly. Postgraduate Scholarship in Electrical Engineering - Université Paris 5 – René Descarte
A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably qualified candidate to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in Electrical Engineering. The aim of the international project is to derive high-fidelity 3D audio headphone filters from photos and/or 3D scans of ears. The applicant must have a first-class honours degree or equivalent in mathematics, science or engineering, and be willing to work both at the University of Sydney and at the
Université Paris 5 – René Descarte. Applicants should have a strong mathematics background, an interest in statistical shape analysis and computational acoustics. A stipend of $25,406 per annum is available to domestic and international students for up to 3 years. This scholarship does not cover any tuition fees payable by international candidates. John Monash Scholarships
The General Sir John Monash Foundation offers up to twenty Scholarships per year for postgraduate study at leading overseas universities. The John Monash Scholarships recognise excellence and leadership, and celebrate one of Australia’s finest leaders: General Sir John Monash. Each year the Scholarships are awarded to outstanding Australian graduates to enable them to study for a Masters or Doctoral degree at the world’s best universities. The Scholarships support any postgraduate degree and each Scholarship is valued at AUD $65,000 per year for a maximum of three years. The John Monash Scholarships are not limited by age, gender, academic field of study or choice of overseas university.
