Visitor card withdrawn

CSCS has consulted with the industry and agreed a plan that will pave the way for the eventual withdrawal of the site visitor card. All site visitor cards issued from 3rd September 2018 will expire on 31st August 2020 and will be non-renewable. Read more

NPORS cardholders turned away

CSCS recently received reports that holders of NPORS cards have been turned away from site because their cards were not thought to be approved. NPORS is an approved CSCS Partner Card Scheme and these cards should be accepted when presented at the site gates. Read more

New advice for non-construction workers

Following discussions with key industry representatives, including CITB and employer representatives, it has been agreed that a number of occupations are non-construction related and should not be covered by the scheme. Read more

FIS offer for dryliners

FIS have introduced two offers to help fit-out sector drylining operatives upgrade to the Blue Skilled Worker CSCS card, an essential replacement for the expired CRO cards which cannot be renewed. These offers are a part of the Fit-out Futures programme which aims to get a carded and qualified workforce. Read more

Card price has risen to £30 + VAT

CSCS has increased the cost of a card to £36. This increase applies to all cards administered directly by CSCS. The last price increase occurred in 2010 but since then costs associated with running the scheme have increased significantly. Read more
