Exercise program targeting depression and anxiety - FREE funded places available at Surry Hills and Randwick!
Mood Active has a limited number of FREE (grant-funded) places available in its eight-week exercise programs. To be eligible, individuals must: - have a referral from a GP or
psychologist
- be a resident of either City of Sydney or Randwick Council.
Mood Active help people struggling with mood disorders build exercise into their mental health wellbeing plan. For more details please visit the

Digital health webinar - Getting started with practice software for allied health
The Allied Health Professions Australia (AHPA) is conducting a series of digital health webinars that are available to any interested allied health practitioner. Registration is now open for webinar one, to participate you simply need to register via the link below, participation is free of charge. Registration for webinars later in the year will open closer to the date.

Stay Standing Falls Prevention Program
One Door Mental Health will be delivering a Stay Standing Falls Prevention Program to people over the age of 50 who are experiencing schizophrenia. NDIS complex home modifications - Information session for occupational therapists. Places limited
The National Disability Insurance Agency is holding an information session on NDIS complex home modifications. Please note the session is directed towards registered occupational therapists who have at least one of the following: - Professional Credential: Associate Member or above of the Association of Consultants in Access Australia (ACAA)
- Successful completion of Nationally Recognised Training modules
CPPACC4020A and CPPACC5016A
- Accreditation by a State Supply Scheme at the top level (e.g. Red accreditation in Home Modifications with SWEP, Victoria)
- Employment at Senior Clinician level specifically responsible for Complex Home Modifications
- NDIS Registered Providers who successfully completed NDIA authorised training in,
and were selected through an Expression of Interest process for Complex Home Modifications assessment during the trial phase of the NDIS prior to 30 June 2016

Research study - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders: How Do Clinician Characteristics Impact on Treatment Fidelity?
Are you a psychologist that practices cognitive behavioural therapy? Have you treated at least one individual client with an eating disorder over the past 12 months? If so, you are invited to participate in the study via an online survey. The survey aims to explore clinician characteristics that impact on the delivery of individual treatment for eating disorders in adults and the implication of these findings on clinician training. Inner West GPs – Invitation to participate in a brief interview about HealthPathways Sydney
The HealthPathways Sydney program is currently undergoing a series of evaluation studies coordinated by Sydney Local Health District and the Menzies Centre for Health Policy. CESPHN is assisting the Menzies Centre in recruiting GPs for “The HealthPathways Sydney GP Perspective Study” which aims to explore when, how, and why or why not GPs use HealthPathways Sydney. GP participants will be interviewed about their experience and opinions of HealthPathways Sydney. This is open to any GP working in the SLHD catchment - even if you don’t use HealthPathways Sydney! It’s just a single, brief interview (in your practice setting at a convenient time to you), and you will be remunerated $120. GP required for panel discussion at Abuse of Older People in the Community Care Collaborative
Sutherland Shire – Abuse of Older People in Community Care Collaborative is seeking the participation of a GP to provide perspective in a ‘hypothetical style’ discussion panel. Glen Sorenson, with the support of NSW Elder Abuse Helpline and Resource Unit will lead the panel through real-life scenarios to identify and respond to abuse of older people. This education event will be offered to local allied health and service providers and will be held Thursday 27 July 2017 at Club on
