Join us for this special event as Mayor Marolyn Morrison hosts her final Business Breakfast as Mayor for the Town of Caledon. This Mayor's Business Breakfast will take place on September 4, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. at the Royal Ambassador Event Centre, located at 15430 Innis Lake Road in Caledon East (map).

Minister Goodyear and MP Tilson Visit Multivans Inc.

July 22, 2014, Bolton, Ontario – Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario)

FedDev Ontario Minister Gary Goodyear and Member of Parliament David Tilson visited Multivans Inc. in Bolton last month, where they congratulated the company on its success in the production and sales of truck bodies. Multivans Inc. has been serving the Canadian transportation industry since 1962, and provides bodies for a variety of trucks. To read more click here.

In February 2014, the Federal government via their Economic Action Plan 2014 announced $305 million over five years to extend and enhance broadband Internet service for Canadians in rural and Northern communities.

Details of that announcement have finally surfaced and on July 22, 2014 the Connecting Canadians program was announced.

2014 Peel Halton Online Employer Survey – 15 Questions

This is the fourth annual Peel Halton employer survey. Last year over 415 responses were collected from employers, representing over 50,000 jobs in Peel and Halton Regions. The survey helps employment services and training bodies to better match their activities to employer needs.

The Caledon Economic Development Office is partnering with the Peel Halton Workforce Development Group to implement this survey.

This year, the survey focuses on:

  • Job retention issues
  • Hiring of youth
  • Reliance on newcomers
  • New immigration process
  • Providing workplace experience
  • Collaborating on workforce issues
