The 2025 Girls Write Now Anthology Launches Tomorrow!

Announcing Hope Lives in Our Words

With over 70 stories written by the young women and gender expansive storytellers of Girls Write Now, Hope Lives in Our Words: The Girls Write Now 2025 Anthology is the perfect antidote to the fear and isolation we so often feel in this world. Like canning fruit for a harsh winter, the work in this book preserves what is and what came before, to nourish us when days are dark. As one author notes, we are indeed “at the end of the world searching for revival.” Let this be your guide.

Red Bird

 By Diandra Ford-Wing

After the sudden loss of her mother, Diandra Ford-Wing made the courageous decision to pause her thriving career, allowing herself the space to heal and reflect. This transformative experience ultimately inspired her debut novel, "Red Bird," a heartfelt exploration of loss and resilience. Through her writing, she aspires to resonate with others navigating their own paths of loss and self-discovery. We are excited to present a conversation with Diandra as part of a bonus season of Speaking in First Draft. Stay tuned!
