Dr. Linda Bleicken
This October, Armstrong is pleased to invite our Proud Pirate Family Members to attend Celebrate Armstrong. While we begin Celebrate Armstrong on Thursday with a festival, we are pleased to dedicate our Saturday as our new Family Day.
Save the date on your calendars and we will share more details as they are finalized closer to time and how you can sign up! We hope to see you there.
We are very pleased to announce that President Bleicken has approved the creation of the Armstrong School of Nursing, effective July 1, 2016, in recognition of nursing's growth in both student numbers and programmatic offerings at the university. The School of Nursing will replace the current Department of Nursing as a unit within Armstrong's College of Health Professions, with Dr. Catherine Gilbert serving as the School's first Director.
Our Department of Nursing has earned a reputation as a regional leader in nursing education. Over the past five years, enrollment has grown to more than 1,000 students enrolled in two Baccalaureate programs, three Master's degree programs and a soon-to-launch Doctoral program. Further, Armstrong's Nursing program produces the third-highest number of BSN graduates within the University System of Georgia and maintains a high level of quality, with graduates consistently outperforming the national average on licensing exams. This change represents an important step forward for nursing at Armstrong and we are excited to share the news.
Fee Payment Deadlines
You are a priority to Armstrong and the fee payment deadlines are quickly approaching. If your balance is not resolved by the posted deadlines, your classes may be dropped for non-payment and you may be assessed a late payment fee. For questions about your financial aid, please contact the Office of Financial Aid. If you anticipate a third party will cover you balance, please contact Bursar to ensure they have confirmed your third party billing information. Otherwise, please make a payment via Touch Net to protect your classes from being dropped. Thank you for resolving your balance as quickly as possible.
If payment is not made by the fee payment deadline, the student’s courses may be dropped for non-payment and a late payment fee will be charged if courses are reinstated. All payments must be made to the Bursar Office.
Bookstore Credit Information
The Bookstore Credit is available to assist students with the purchase of books. It is a privilege offered by Armstrong for students who have completed all of their Financial Aid requirements by priority deadlines. A Bookstore Credit will be authorized for students who have grant, scholarship, or loan funds that exceed their charges. The maximum Bookstore Credit available is $1000. Please note that if your balance increases after you have spent your Bookstore Credit, you will be held responsible for those funds. There are no Bookstore Credits available during mini-mesters.
We are excited to have some of our parent & family members of our Liberty Center campus joining Proud Pirate Family.
