ABDO to host student drop-in sessions at Optrafair

SUNDAY 2 APRIL & MONDAY 3 APRIL ABDO LOUNGE (G120) OPTRAFAIR BIRMINGHAM NEC

11.00 – 14.00: ABDO student drop-in sessions – help with portfolio and exam queries

Miranda Richardson and Alicia Thompson from the ABDO Examinations department will be on hand, from 11.00 to 14.00 on Sunday 2 and Monday 3 April, in the ABDO Lounge (G120) at Optrafair to answer any questions you may have.

Rosemary Bailey and Keith Cavaye will also be available to discuss any contact lens examination queries.

Just come along for a chat during the times shown, advance booking for the sessions isn’t required.

There's an opportunity to find out how to develop your support staff at Optrafair when Nick Walsh (pictured), ABDO's sector skills development officer, Helen Perkins, WCSM clerk and Clive Marchant, ABDO vice president, present an ‘Eye to Eye’ session sponsored by the WCSM Education Trust at 15.00 on Saturday 1 April.

The session will feature first-hand experiences of optical technicians, optical assistants and employers to illustrate why developing support staff makes sense for them, for business and for optics as a whole.

2017 ABDO Graduation and Prize Giving Ceremony

WEDNESDAY 22 NOVEMBER 2017 • CANTERBURY CATHEDRAL

The 2017 ABDO Graduation and Prize Giving Ceremony will be held on Wednesday 22 November at Canterbury Cathedral.

The ceremony registration desk will be open from 4.00pm to 5.30pm. Doors to the Cathedral will open for guests to enter at 6.30pm.

Graduands eligible to attend will receive notification and online booking will go live mid-September 2017.
