Following the response to the NJEDA Small Business Emergency Assistance Grant Program in April and May, the NJEDA has approved funding for Phase 2 of the program.

Applications for the expanded program will go live at 9:00 a.m. on June 9th. Phase 2 grants are intended to reimburse lost revenue as a result of COVID-19. Eligible businesses can receive a maximum of $10,000 to curb the impact of the pandemic.

Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis, and applicants are encouraged to have all necessary items prepared ahead of time. To help with this, translated copies of the application are available for review now.

Status of Re-opening: Entering Stage 2

New Jersey has moved into Stage 2 and businesses are gradually re-opening under the state's Road Back plan. On Monday, June 1st, Governor Phil Murphy announced plans for reopening outdoor dining, non-essential retail stores, hair salons, and barbershops. Following a phased approach, outdoor dining and non-essential retail will be able to re-open on June 15th, and hair salons and barbershops may open June 22nd. The state continues to monitor infection rates and numbers and is prepared to revisit plans for re-opening if numbers begin to increase.
