Jacky serves as the Director of the City of San Jose’s Housing Department. She has more than 29 years of experience in affordable housing and community development, including program implementation and policy development in the public, for-profit, and nonprofit sectors. Social housing is any ownership or rental housing that may be owned and managed by the state, by non-profit organizations, or by a combination of the two, usually with the aim of providing affordable housing, protected from market pressures. The event will discuss best practices and provide case studies of social housing around the world, and will touch on how to phase in social housing into a community like San Jose. Get that Gig!SV@Home is seeking a Preservation and Protection Associate to assist in the implementation of SV@Home’s approach to tenant protections, affordable housing preservation, and comprehensive anti-displacement policy solutions, all undertaken in an equity framework. This position reports to the Policy Manager. Due to the current pandemic, this position will work remotely until further notice. This role will aid in building new affordable homes under PATH’s mission. The company is seeking a qualified individual with experience in housing development, business finance, urban planning or related field, preferably within a non-profit, government or private financial institution. The Terner Center for Housing Innovation is looking for a Senior Research Associate to support and advance our housing research and policy agenda through impactful, timely, and rigorous research on U.S. housing markets, public policy, and private sector innovation. This is a senior level position that, in close collaboration with the Terner Center’s leadership team, will take initiative to identify new research opportunities and partnerships, develop research designs and conceptual frameworks, and formulate policy proposals. The Senior Research Associate will also be expected to collaborate with senior staff to secure funding for research projects, including initiating and writing funding proposals. Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits (SVCN) is hiring a Racial Justice Fellow, offering recent graduates the opportunity to work with leaders across the nonprofit community to advance racial justice across
the sector. Reporting to SVCN’s Learning + Member Engagement Manager, the Fellow will conduct original research, provide critical resources and learning opportunities for nonprofits around Racial Justice and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
