The deadline for CRO card applications is end of the day Friday 31st March. CSCS will not be accepting CRO applications after this date. CRO cardholders must take further steps to replace their CRO cards before they expire. Read more
CITB Health, safety and environment test: updated revision materials
Revision materials for the CITB Health, safety and environment test will be updated from 1st April 2017. Candidates taking the CITB test from the 1st June should revise from the new version of the revision material. Candidates taking tests before 1st June can continue to use the 2016 version. Read more
Locksmiths no longer require CSCS cards
The Master Locksmiths Association (MLA), with support from the Standard Setting Body – Skills for Security, have formally requested that “Locksmith” and “Safe Engineer” occupations be withdrawn from the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS). Read more

Seven jailed for card fraud
Seven people have been jailed following three investigations carried out by the Home Office and CITB. Five were jailed for a combined total of 30 years for their part in running a ‘fraud factory’ manufacturing fake documents including CSCS cards. CSCS is urging employers to help tackle card fraud by checking cards electronically. Read more
