Good morning, super awesome TCA viewers! Thanks for hanging with us another week! Last week was crazy, as always, with a quick stop for me and Steve (our VP of Strategy) in Minneapolis. I can't disclose what went on (other than Steve breaking a record in a go kart at the Mall of America Tuesday evening), but our long time TCA viewers will know who's in Minneapolis.... It's not like there are a lot of Class Action Settlement Administrators out there, or anything like that, right? Oh, wait, there are! Needless to say, it was a great day of meetings, and I got home later that day. Delayed a few hours, but home! That's what matters! Oh, and new stuff coming down the pipeline for YOU, our viewers, was scheduled. Bigger and better, we're always pushing to be "most excellent" as Bill and Ted used to say.
Millennials, have no fear, a new "Bill and Ted" movie is in production right now, so you'll get that quote soon enough LOL! :D
Last week, Farron Cousins and I discussed a number of new class actions. It's pretty cool that we've been doing those segments for almost a year now, and we're already seeing some of the class actions we STARTED with last year becoming settlements THIS year! That's really, really fast in the class action world. Most class actions take six months to two years to get certified, and once a class is certified, most defendants settle. That settlement can take another one to two
years to happen, though. As all of YOU know, once the settlement happens it can take another year or more to pay out, so patience is a virtue with class actions, as in life! So, my point is, that it's really cool that class actions we discussed are already settling. Make sure to tune in and follow The Ring of Fire and Top Class Actions on YouTube. You'll get the background on at least five class actions, or other legal news, every week!
OK, on to more lawsuit and settlement updates!
I need to wrap this up, it'll hit 110 this week and the girls are hollering at me to hit the pool! That's all for now! Make it a GREAT week!
Warm Regards,
Scott Hardy
