COVID SERVICE UPDATES

From 11.59pm tonight, we will move to Stage 4 restrictions until 11.59pm on Wednesday 17 February. To help tackle the spread of COVID-19 and in response to Victoria's five day lockdown, the way we are delivering services has changed and most Council services will return to remote service delivery.

  • Council meeting: online
  • Customer Service Centres: closed; phone contact available. Centrelink kiosk at Kilmore available by appointment. VicRoads agency services closed. Building and planner counter closed.
  • Libraries: closed; eResources available.
  • Leisure Centres: closed
  • Outdoor pools: closed
  • Resource Recovery Centres: open for residents without a kerbside collection service only (ID required)
  • Maternal and Child Health: open with some changes to appointments
  • Immunisation: no changes
  • Community centres, halls and sporting facilities: closed
  • Kindergartens: open
  • School crossings: open
  • Youth rooms: closed
  • Playgrounds: open
  • Visitor Info Centre: closed.

There will be only four reasons to leave your home:

  1. shopping for the things you need,
  2. care and caregiving,
  3. exercise, and
  4. work if it is essential.

We encourage you to keep your movements to a minimum. Every little bit we do can help make a difference.

NEW COURTS ON WAY

Netball and tennis players in Wandong will soon have more state-of-the-art courts to play on with building work starting at LB Davern Reserve this week.

The $545,000 project will see a new court base, playing surface and energy efficient LED lights on two shared use netball/tennis courts.

The project is possible thanks to $295,000 from Council and a $250,000 grant through Sport and Recreation Victoria’s Local Sports Infrastructure Fund.

ALLOW EXTRA TIME Works start on Windham Street

If you use Windham Street in Wallan, please allow some extra time as the first stage of $250,000 Council-funded works are underway.

The work zone is reduced to 40km/h during construction and at night and there are some detours in place. While there may be some minor delays, traffic will still be able to move through the area. Council reminds drivers to follow traffic instructions for their safety and the safety of road workers.
