LAKESIDE NEWS FROM THE SPIRESA NOTE FROM OUR TEAMDear Friends, Gorgeous fall weather has arrived and the heat and humidity of the summer have finally dissipated. As I marvel at the beauty all around me, I like to focus on all the blessings around us. Most particularly, this Veterans Day, my thoughts turn to those who have sacrificed so much for so many. I am deeply grateful to our veterans for their service and sacrifice, for the commitment they made to preserve and protect our country and defend it against all enemies -- foreign and domestic. What a monumental task! This Veterans Day, in addition to picnics and football, please join me in honoring our veterans in whatever way is most meaningful. We have dozens of veterans who will be living at The Spires, so please enjoy this blog featuring four Spires residents, our nation’s finest. Please mark your calendar and join us as we celebrate the sights and sounds of the season at The Spires at Berry College. We have some fabulous events planned and they are even more special when YOU are present. Bring a friend, bring your family; the more the merrier. Warm regards, Monika Lawrence, PS: Laurie Steber, our new Executive Director starts this month! If you haven’t met Laurie yet, please take the opportunity to introduce yourself and wish her a warm welcome.
